overcommitted

like me, most of the folks in my cohort (the RWL EdD cohort that started in 2008) have been working full-time while studying part-time.  some of these guys actually took a full-time courseload our first year while working full-time -- i am still completely baffled by how they managed this, but they somehow did.  in 2011, i attempted the same thing and ended up completing seven courses in one year while working full-time.  again, i'm not completely sure how i did it, outside of what i referenced in an earlier post: a really good therapist!

in any case, over the past couple of weeks, i've seen a few full-time-work-and-part-time-study friends go off the wall a little bit in terms of responsibilities, i.e. forgetting meetings and appointments and looking disheveled.  i myself am in this boat right now and i have to say that it's a classic response to being completely overwhelmed by the work that comes along with the pre-holidays and being overwhelmed with the assignments that come along with semester's end.  i find myself feeling a little confused as to how i'll get everything done.  i know it'll happen, but i don't yet know how...
